A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER OF RICHARD SOLOMON ARTISTS' REPRESENTATIVE

I started my Company, Richard Solomon Artists’ Representative LLC over 20 years ago with a vision to form a group of artists from all parts of the globe who are great problem solvers and would work collaboratively with art directors, each having a unique signature style. The Company is now known as a go-to agency for some of the best traditional, digital, and cutting-edge art solutions.

Today, we would like to announce the First Annual Break Through Illustration Contest for New Artists.

Here is what we believe makes this Contest unique: It is not an academic exercise, or an undertaking by artists for artists. It is a chance to connect young aspiring artists or artists with limited professional experience with the people who actually commission art. We would like to put our twenty-plus years of experience as an artists’ representative to call upon our many industry contacts to get the Contest Winner’s work in front of industry professionals.

The Winner of this Contest will be featured online on one or more of our websites, and the Company will sponsor a round trip from the Winner’s home to New York City to introduce him or her to art directors and artists in the New York City metropolitan area for portfolio reviews of the Winner’s work. The Winner will also be provided with hotel accommodations in the New York City Metropolitan area and ground transportation, and our Company’s staff will endeavor to act as a guide to the world of illustration in New York. The Winner will also receive a commemorative award and a $1000 cash prize.
